Pakistani American Pharmaceutical Association

PAPA

Text Box: The Year 2010 has brought a sense of renewal and the urge to take a fresh look at our organization and its activities. It is perfect time for an annual review to make sure that we are moving forward towards our goals. We are facing challenging and somewhat uncertain times, both as a pharmacy owners as well as Pharmacist. This uncertainty is creating an opportunity for us to explore solutions, join hands as a group and make decisions based on priorities. Being in this profession we are all aware of growing challenges that has come our way as unfair practices by PBM's & Third Party Payers' and in Medicaid cuts. We have an option to face them alone or as a group. Later has proven to be a better option. There is an old African proverb, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together". I thank you all for electing me to be your President. Special thanks to Board of Directors of PAPA for their leadership, vision and support. And I thank everyone who is a member of PAPA, I urge you to bring more vitality to this organization. Thank you, May Allah Bless You All. Tanveer Hussain

Text Box: Earthquake in Haiti
Earthquake in Haiti is a human calamity beyond our imagination over 200,000 people have died and millions are homeless. Countless children have become orphans
Allah SWT in surah Al-Zalzala explains that
“When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake and when the earth throws out its burdens and the man will say “what is the matter with it?” That day it will declare its information For that day she will relate her chronicles because thy Lord inspireth her. That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds and those who did good an atom’s weight will see it then and those who did ill an atom’s worth will see it.” Surah 99-8

Chairman’s Message

Text Box: I would like to welcome all of you to the oath-taking ceremony of the Pakistani American Pharmaceutical Association's (PAPA) newly elected Executive Board. My heartiest congratulations to everyone at PAPA who participated in the election. Personally, I feel an election is essential for any organization to move forward by keeping its doors wide open, allowing its members accessibility to any level of leadership. There are no real winners or losers in this process. At the end of the day, all of us have to work together - that is the only way we can progress.  I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Istafa H. Naqvi, Tanveer Hussain, Shahnawaz Khan and the rest of the previous Executive Board for their hard work and dedication to this organization. Your participation and enthusiasm in the election was really amazing and it was beyond my expectations.
Thank you for your support and trust in PAPA. I am looking forward to working with the new Executive Board. God Bless You, God Bless Pakistan, and God Bless America. With Best Wishes to all of you
